The ceremony is during the regular Tuesday Dharma Heart Zen sangha meeting time.  Please arrive a little before 5 pm PT, so we can begin at 5:00. This is an important event for the Dharma Heart Zen Sangha. Please make every effort to attend.

The Ceremony is followed by an informal celebratory dinner at Flavor restaurant in Sebastopol.  Directions to Flavor
You must be vaccinated and wear a mask to attend in person.

Erika Wild, Myo I Ko E, Wondrous Healer Ancient Wisdom is an integral part of Dharma Heart Zen’s practice  life.

Lay Entrustment and receiving the green rakusu of a Lay Teacher recognizes a practitioner’s lifetime commitment to zazen practice and to the Sixteen Bodhisattva Precepts. 
 
Most importantly, the lay entrusted teacher understands that it is through their presence in the world and in daily activities that a mature and embodied understanding of the Bodhisattva Way is conveyed. 
Living an everyday life of wisdom and compassion is the path that opens the heart, is a gateway of practice for others, and heals the suffering and division of the world.
